Terms & Conditions
1.1. The owners of Escapement Kent Ltd cannot be held responsible for accidents, injury, loss, damage or death, on our premises.
1.2. Escapement Kent do not give permission to any individual or company to use, alter or redistribute our logos, trademarks or merchandise without full permission from the owners.
1.3. Escapement Kent do not give permission for recordings of photos, videos or sounds from inside game rooms without prior written consent.
1.4. Escapement Kent do not give customers permission to disclose any details of the game to members of the public.
1.5. Please wear sensible clothing & sensible low heeled shoes. Please note that gameplay may require guests to huddle in small areas, walk on uneven ground and come in to contact with abrasive surfaces. Please also bear in mind, due to the nature of our event you may come in to contact with sand. We cannot be held responsible for any damage to clothes, jewellery or shoes.
1.6. We are entitled to charge for any deliberate damage caused by guests who misuse equipment.
2.1. We have a clear and open cancellation policy.
A) 14 Days before booked game: We can cancel, rearrange and refund SINGLE games free of charge.
B) 8-14 Days before booked game: We are able to refund SINGLE bookings, less the minimum deposit price of £60 per booking. We can reschedule any booking in this time frame for a fee of £15.
C) Up to 7 days before booking: We are unable to refund any bookings. We are able to reschedule SINGLE bookings, less the minimum deposit price of £60 per booking.
D) 6 days or less before booking: We are unable to refund or reschedule any bookings.
E) We allow cancellations due to covid lockdowns/restrictions outside of our usual cancellation policy. Covid cancellations must be made at least 2 days before the date of the booked game and at least one member of the party needs to show proof of a positive test or proof of being in contact with someone with a positive test. These covid cancellations will be held as credit that will not expire and cannot be refunded.
2.2 We reserve the right to cancel games where customers are more than 15 minutes late. In most cases your team will be allowed into the game room, following the mandatory health and safety briefing, you will be allowed to play your game for the remainder of your allocated booking slot.
2.3. We reserve the right to remove any person who is deemed abusive, intoxicated, or causing distress to customers and staff without issuing a refund.
2.4. We remain the right to cancel any booking at any time. It is unlikely, but we may have to make changes to our schedule. We will inform you of any changes as soon as possible. You will be entitled to a full refund, we regret that we cannot pay any expenses or losses associated with or incurred by you as a result of the change or cancellation.
2.5. Customers who finish the game before their allocated time slot will not receive a full or partial refund.
3. Booking & Payment
3.1. Upon completion of the booking process, you will have to read and agree to our Terms and Conditions. Your booking will be taken as acceptance and will be confirmed by email.
3.2. Bookings must be made by persons over the age of 18. If an individual is making a booking on behalf of a group, which may or may not include minors, they, the party leader must have full permission from each member of the group and or parent and guardians. We cannot be held responsible for any persons that book under the age of 18. Customers under 21 should bring photo ID. We cannot be held responsible for any subsequent events after rejection or refusal into the game.
3.3. We cannot be held responsible for any incorrect information that is entered at the time of booking, mistakes cannot be rectified once completed.
3.4. Full payment is required at time of booking.
3.5. We collect customer information to use for our own research and marketing. Your information is safely stored and will never be passed or sold on to third party companies.
3.6. Only one discount code per booking may be used. If any discount code is deemed to be misused we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
4. Safety & Compliance
4.1 Customers should be in good health in order to play; pregnant women, people with heart conditions, claustrophobia, asthma, epilepsy and people with anxiety or nervousness must attend our venue at their own risk as we cannot be held responsible for conditions or issues which develop or worsen as a result of playing a game.
4.2 In some rooms we use specialist lighting and smoke effects which could trigger epilepsy or asthma, these games are strictly not suitable for guests with epilepsy or asthma. Please contact us if you have any questions.
4.3. Whilst some of our rooms have been designed to be suitable for children, please note that there may be episodes of darkness, loud noise, and cramped spaces. More sensitive guests, including children, may find some scenes and or stories scary. The party leader should consider this as we cannot be held responsible for making such judgements regarding the personal disposition of players.
4.4. You may not bring alcohol, drugs, weapons or potential weapons, onto the premises and we reserve the right to check guests bags before the game. Any person found in possession of these items will be asked to leave.
4.5. Whilst on our premises, you must comply with our rules, regulations and employees. Behaviour we deem to be unacceptable will not be tolerated.
5. Photos, E-mail & Social Media:
5.1. Photos of teams will be taken in our dedicated photo area at the end of each game, these photos will be uploaded to social media sites within approximately 24 hours. By agreeing to our terms and conditions you give us the right to upload your team picture.
5.2. We reserve the right to delete any inappropriate comments that are written about us across social media. These comments will be removed without explanation or warning.
5.3 We may occasionally email you with offers, invites or discount codes. By agreeing to our terms and conditions you give us permission to do so. Please email us if you would like to be taken off our mailing list at email@example.com
